I don't like Gray Davis but I think the recall is a very bad idea. Namely, it sets a terrible precedent of what to do when you don't like an elected official. It makes the official campaign while s/he is supposed to be doing their job *and* costs way too much money. I'd rather we spent the money on schools than a recall election.
