Last night was Halloween in our new neighborhood. Though our street didn't offer droves of trick-or-treaters, I was so touched with how personal the experience was. Bill, our sweet neighbor across the street had cupcakes and cookies for my tribe. Christine and Craig who just moved up the street with 2 great kids and potential babysitters stopped by to give us 3 pumpkins with light-up lollipops. And our next door neighbor whose-name-we-can't-remember-though-it's-too-embarassing-to-ask-at-this-point came by with caramels and chocolate. As I tucked the kids in bed, their warm faces still smelled of tootsie roll pops and chocolate. Ellie looked up at me and said, "mama, i was so impressed with you when i was a baby."

My favorite Halloween costume at Google. Will add pics of my tots soon.
