Tonight, Declan poured water on Ellie's floor and on her homework. She got mad and proceeded to knock him on the head. Declan burst into tears and ran into my arms. We talked about it being wrong to hit and Ellie subsequently apologized. I then asked Declan why he instigated the altercation with Ellie and specifically, poured water on her stuff. He had a perfect explanation among his tears, "My brain was sleeping, mama!"
