Ellie started Kindergarten yesterday and she was a champ! It was fun to walk her to the local elementary school (which is thankfully great and free!). Her classroom was so nicely decorated and organized, much nicer than what I remember from Kindergarten. Her eyes lit up when she recognized a girl from her camp last summer and then when her best friend from preschool, Maya, arrived. I was very teary, but when Ellie said, "mom, you can go now, OK?" I realized my little baby is now a very big, mature girl. ANd when I picked her up in the early afternoon, she asked me to come back later!

Good signs. Way to go, Ellie!
