Ice, Ice Baby!

On the way to SF to meet my college pal, Alicia, at Alcatraz, we had to detour to the Packard Children's hospital. Declan had a terrible lump and pain in his neck and we had to get it checked out asap. It turned out my little guy had a virus which caused an infection in his lymph node. Thankfully it is easily treatable with some heavy duty antibiotics. Afterwards, we were too late to reach Alcatraz and swung by the local ice skating rink in Palo Alto. The kids were a mess slipping and sliding all over the rink, but at least they tried! Patrick gave it one loop and he was done. Chicken!
