We had a great silicon valley weekend including:
-brunch with our dear friends who just came back from India. We are thinking about investing in a place in Goa with them. I can't wait to go to India, especially with the kids.
-dinner at a hole-in-the-wall Korean restaurant in Mtn View which was fabulous. After dinner, we went next door to a Chinese hair salon and all the kids got a cut and a lollipop. No-one spoke English well, but all the ladies had nametags with English names like "Pearl", "Cindy", "Ann" and "Tracy". They loved the girls hair and actually styled and straightened it!
-brunch with our new friend, Daniela who just joined Google US from the Hamburg office. She grew up in East Germany and had some great stories. Patrick's friend Mike whose family is from Cuba also joined with his dog Rover, so we had a fun afternoon with kids, dogs and friends.
-Declan climbed into my bed this morning for his daily cuddle. All of a sudden he said, "HEY!" and pulled a train from his pants. "What is the choo choo doing in my pants!" He must have slept like that all night. Knuckle-head.
-Kiki's hair looked so great from the styling and she knew it. She must have brushed her hair admiring the new-do for about an hour! :)
