Making friends with Al-Qaeda

We moved upstairs to a larger apartment today which is providing much needed relief for us. We were going crazy in our former location which was cramped, dark and loud.

Our apartment building is comfortable, modern (in an IKEA way) and really close to the Google office. My guess is that we're the only Americans in this complex as most of the other tenets of the apartment appear to be either Indian or Arab. Many of the women in the building wear Burka's, a far cry from the cutesy Old Navy short shorts that our girls wear. Given the recent warnings about Al Quaeda in India, we're especially sensitive and aware of our surroundings. Patrick has been desperately trying to make friends with these ladies but to no avail. Well tonight, I'm happy to announce we got one lady to return a smile (at least from what we could tell from her eyes).
